In fact, I believe this storm qualifies for the much-cherished "Wicked Pissah"category, a designation usually reserved for epochal events like the Red Sox winning the World Series, or a Boston driver yielding the right of way. In other words, it almost NEVER happens.
Anyway, this awful weather *does* give me a reason to post this:
Goosebumps! Speaking of which:
Let's hope we have plenty of this next week - both fair weather *and* Chet Baker music.

Love that Chet Baker. He was seen as the white answer to Miles Davis and had a beautiful tone, but it's always been his singing that has captivated me. Lovely song.
Me too. Have you ever seen Let's Get Lost, the documentary that was made about him? Haunting.
He played on what is probably my favorite Elvis Costello song, "Shipbuilding." Costello said he attended a Baker show in London and asked him if he would play on the song. Baker played that heart-stopping solo on his first take, if you can believe it. And apparently he insisted on being paid union scale, refusing when Costello tried to give him more. He was a remarkable artist.
