Below the fold, a mini-jukebox, Celtic style.
Here's Van the Man with the Cheftains. Their Irish Heartbeat album is a must-have.
From 1978, a tremendous live version of "Wavelength":
The Waterboys tear through "We Will Not Be Lovers" at Glastonbury in 1986:
Finally, my favorite U2 song, from War. This is one of their most Irish-sounding (and beautiful) songs:
If I am ever fortunate enough to marry, I hope this is played at the wedding.
Sláinte!

happy belated st. pat's day to you too miss cassidy! so you're an irish lass through and through, with freckles, no less. the only thing missing is a fierce head of red hair and you'd be a bonnie lass for sure! :) just kidding. you seem quite the bonnie lass now and it is a pleasure to read about your adventures!
Aww... thank you! Yup, I am an Irish lass (with some Scottish as well, according to my brother, who is researching our family tree).
The salon receptionist told me that I actually have red highlights now - and that my hair is quite a bit lighter than it was pre-HRT, both of which came as news to me. But yes, only highlights, alas.
For now. ;c)
Hugs,
Cass
Are you really sure that your hubbie (sly wink here) would really want a song played at your wedding taken from an album called war?
If you are going down that route you might want to consider songs from the Progidy ...... ;-)
As for the hair I am told that mine has changed colour a little. I find it all a bit amazing really. All this loveliness from a little sticker and a pill once a day .....
Hi Becca!
I think he would if he heard *this* song from War! lol It's absolutely gorgeous. And the lyrics come from the Bible. Not sure how you work out the royalty payments on that arrangement, but it's hard to argue with the results. :c)
Interesting about the hair. I'd never heard of that.
Kelli, over at The Good, The Bad, & The Blonde, just wrote a post about how she's shrinking. And Stace commented that she is as well. The three of us are all roughly the same size and build, so I wonder if it will happen to me as my transition continues? Stay tuned.
As you said, these pills really are magical!
Hugs,
Cass
magical pills, eh? love to see the results! :)
Well, in my case, the "magic" bar seems to be set somewhat lower. For instance, my therapist defined magic as "you no longer wanting to belch the entire alphabet on demand." So, little victories... ;c)

little victories are great! personally i can't see you ever wanting to belch at all! lol
Well, not intentionally, anyway. :c) I can only assume transitioning has affected my burping articulation skills! lol
